Kobyalar Group is a third-generation family company. Kobyalar Group, with its shareholders, is a strong, diverse and global seafood company with interests in sustainable fisheries, fish oil and fish meal production, aquaculture as well as seafood processing and distribution.

Kobyalar Group has 30 years of experience in fish oil and fish meal production. Fish oil and fish meal are produced with latest and most effective technology to keep and increase quality of the products. Kobyalar invests in aquaculture industry in Black Sea.

The company is owned by Mehmet Kobya and İsmail Kobya. Mehmet Kobya is married, has three children and five grandchildren, lives in Trabzon. İsmail Kobya is married, has three children, lives in Trabzon.

Our History

Our journey began over five decades ago with a deep commitment to the sea and sustainable fisheries. From humble beginnings to a diversified portfolio of fish processing, aquaculture, and feed production, we have grown steadily through innovation and strategic partnerships.

1968: Start fishing
1990: Foundation of Kopyalar A.S.
1994: Koptur: First fish oil and fish meal processing plant with a capacity of 5 t/h.
2003: Dalyan: Fish oil and fish meal processing plant (company share 30%)
2007: Akerko: Fish processing plant (company share 30%)
2008: Fish oil and fish meal processing plants in Georgia (company share 50%)
2010: New logo integration: Dark blue company names are covered with a turquoise fish drawing
