Fish Oil
Kobyalar Group is the world’s leader in the production of DHA-rich anchovy fish oil.
Our fish oil is produced from 100% pure Black Sea anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus).
Kobyalar Group’s fish oil contains long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids: EPA and DHA, and is rich in DHA; the profile is constant throughout the season, with an EPA:DHA ratio of 10:20.
It is both used in human nutrition and as a feed ingredient in the aquaculture industry.
Fish oil production
Raw material freshness defines the quality of our fish oil and fish meal. Anchovy and sprat are chilled with refrigerated seawater after the catch on board and ice is added during transportation.
The manufacturing of fish oil is carried out under HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles with best practice and full traceability of fresh raw material via latest processing techniques.
Full traceability – from catch to finished product
Our fish oil is produced through cooking, pressing and centrifugal separation, under strict hygiene and food safety standards in all our plants.
All fish oil storage and transportation tanks are made of stainless steel. We are ISO22000, ISO14001, ISO9001, GMP+ and FOS (Friend of the Sea) certified.
Health Benefits of Fish Oil
Omega-3s are essential fatty acids, which are important for health.
Heart health – EPA supports healthy blood pressure and healthy triglyceride levels
Neurological health – DHA supports brain health
Eye health – DHA is found in large amounts in the retina of the eye, the part of the eye responsible for seeing under different lighting conditions.
Prenatal health – DHA supports brain and eye development for a growing baby, both during pregnancy and in the first months of life.
Benefits of Fish Oil for Animals
Fish oil is important for aquaculture diets.
Fish immunity – Fish oil improves the immune systems of fish. Using fish oil in aquatic diets also improves productivity through better growth and feed conversion which will reduce feeding costs.
Resistance to disease – Fish oil will improve the resistance to disease and recovery after illness.
